Pupusas doña mirna Reviews

I absolutely enjoyed taking my friends here!!! The food and service were amazing. They were so sweet with the child we took making sure he had juice for his meal. AND !!! The perk is they have my favorite treats from back home that most places don't, like Nuegados!!

My coworkers used to regularly go to this restaurant pre-pandemic. Their pupusas are phenomenal! I've tried the cheese, bean, and loroco (squash flower). Nothing beats their curtido, it tastes really fresh and goes perfectly with the pupusas. The service has always been excellent. We would usually go with the server's recommendations, and tried a lot of different items that way. I'm vegetarian and there was plenty to choose from, plus they're willing to adapt items. For example, we like to get the fried yuca which typically comes with chicharron and a pickled salad on top. They put the chicharron on the side so that I could eat the dish. It can sometimes take a while to get the food from the kitchen, I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a rush.

Authentic Salvadoran food! This place was a great experience....service was fabulous and the food was delicious. I tried their pupusas, empanadas and huevos rancheros. I recommend everything. Definitely coming back...

I live near this restaurant.I spoke with a guy from El Salvador. He recommended here. The name is too long.El Pupusodromo. It is longer than my name Takayama.LOL.I liked the decor and beautiful picture.Yelpers complains a slow services.I got the chicken in 10 minutes.I liked pupusas. It was tasty. The restaurant has happy hours(Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm) hope to visit here again.

I have fond memories of this place when I was younger and we would come often since we lived close to it then. Years later I have returned, expectations were a little high from my childhood memories. I've been to one close to where I live and it is a pretty sad place. I got the beans and cheese pupusas. Not too oily, which is an important factor. Must say the place did not disappoint. The customer service is spot on. I've been back twice recently and both times customer service was great. They only take cash by the way!! Seeing how hard it is to find a decent salvadorian restaurant in Houston, you will not find anything better!

Let's keep this short and sweet. It's worth the stop! Had a chicharron & mixed pupusa. Delish! Great size, not skimpy and great taste! Came with my hubby (doesn't speak Spanish) but waitress was able to speak to him and was very friendly.

As someone who’s spent plenty of time exploring the vibrant food scene in Houston, I can confidently say that this place serves some of the best pupusas in town. The dough is always perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside—and the fillings are generous and flavorful. Don’t forget to pair your meal with a side of tangy curtido, a traditional Salvadoran slaw that complements the rich flavors of the pupusas.
While the pupusas are undoubtedly the highlight of the menu, there’s so much more to explore at Pupusas Doña Mirna. The restaurant also serves a variety of delicious side dishes and drinks that perfectly complement the main dishes. Their yuca frita (fried cassava) is a crowd favorite, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and pairs wonderfully with any of the pupusas.
For those looking for a heartier meal, the restaurant offers traditional Salvadoran plates like baleadas and plato típico, which feature a mix of rice, beans, and grilled meats. If you're in the mood for something refreshing to wash it all down, the horchata or fresca are excellent choices, both offering a sweet, refreshing contrast to the savory dishes.

Delicious pupusas at a great price! This little restaurant is easy to miss while driving by, but they serve some great authentic Salvadorian food. Their pupusas are some of my favorite in Houston. Their tamales, fried sweet plantains and elote atoll are all also really great to go along with the pupusas.
